Standard features

The O’day 35 is an excellent sailing (PHRF 144), comfortable, solidly built cruiser with superior glass and gel-coat and a built-in swim-step.
Interlude has just undergone an extensive refit from top to bottom, completed in Spring 2023 to bring her into Bristol condition. Starting with a two-owner, lightly sailed New England boat in excellent condition, EVERYTHING has been replaced or refurbished and improved. All work is first-rate with quality components, better than OEM. Needs nothing – if you look at 50 boats, this will be the nicest.
Mast and Rigging:
• New anchor light, Steaming/deck light combo, all wiring, VHF cable and antenna.
• New Mast Head Sheaves and Boom Sheaves.
• All new standing rigging.
• All new running rigging.
• New ProFurl C320 roller furler.
• New custom chainplates, epoxy potted and re-bedded.
• Sail control lines brought back to the cockpit: all new mast base blocks, deck organizers and rope clutches.
Deck:
• Deck is clean, solid and dry, hardware has been removed, moisture intrusion addressed, epoxy potted and rebedded.
• All new cleats.
• New anchor locker hinges.
• New lifelines
• All new Stainless Steel deck fills.
• Winches re-chromed.
• 6 new Lewmar Standard opening portlights (look much better).
• Exterior teak re-finished, synthetic teak toe-rail.
Hull:
• The hull is in excellent condition with gelcoat that puts newer boats to shame.
• The bottom was sandblasted (zero blisters), barrier coat and ablative paint applied hot for chemical adhesion.
• New rudder from Foss Foam (superior design).
• All new Groco flanged through-hulls with proper backing plates.
• Bonding system re-wired.
• Clean and dry bilge.
• Keel was shipped to Mars Metal in Canada who installed 7 new 316 Stainless Steel keel bolts, stripped and faired the keel and epoxy coated it. The keel was re-installed by International Marine Composites in Bristol, RI (factory keel installer for J-Boats) and is better than when the boat left the factory. Three of the original keel bolts had corrosion only visible when the nuts and washers were removed – can happen to any boat, no worries with this boat.
Interior
• The interior is in excellent condition, including the cushions.
• All teak has been refinished.
• Custom galley and navigation station cabinets and several other modifications done to improve the quality and use of space.
• New galley sink and faucet.
• Propane oven
• JVC audio/video head unit (200 watts), 32” Jensen flat-screen TV, 4 speakers (JBL, ADS).
• All new bilge pump and cockpit drain hoses (Trident).
Head:
• Recent Raritan PHII head, completely rebuilt, all new hoses (Saniflex), new Todd 15 gallon holding tank.
Engine:
• Universal M-25. Clean, low hour engine in excellent condition, runs like a top.
• Improved alternator bracket installed and wiring upgrades done.
• All new engine instrument panel with added tachometer and overheat alarm.
• New motor mounts.
• New Glow Plugs with relay.
• Crankcase re-breather.
• LED lighting.
• New fuel tank, new complete Racor fuel filter, new Facet fuel pump and all fuel lines.
• Heat exchanger refurbished.

• Blue Seas ACR (Automatic Charging Relay).
• 50 Watt solar panel with Victron MPPT controller.
• All new battery cables, positive and negative buss bars added, lots of new wiring properly fused and heat sealed.
