General condition and any additional information
1985 Oday 222 in really good shape. Its an amazing trailerable. 2005 5-Starr drop axle, roller trailer with keel roller included. Used in Barnaget and Raritan bay maybe 15 times. Sailed NY harbor around Statue of Liberty all the way up to 79th St. boat basin.
All other years of use in fresh water.
The 222 is the ideal all-around performer. With its 800 lb. stub keel, she will float in 20 inches! Great for exploring and beaching.
Drop the retractable centerboard ( total draft 4-8) and youll gain performance on nearly all points of sail. Points extremely well to wind with board down.

New sails are less than three years old and very crisp, with little usage in that time. Free-footed, fully battened mainsail with jiffy reefing points.
150% Genoa on Schaefer CF-500 purchased with sails. This is a true reefing furler; sail with any amount of genoa flying. Genoa also has foam luff in leading edge to maintain ideal sail shape at any reef point.

I have moved all controls to cockpit for singlehanded sailing. Its made such a difference!
Have spent many nights with family (kids were younger) onboard. Plenty of room below room below.
Port o potty that clips in under forward berth is included.
Five gallon water tank and pump sink.
Removable, adjustable table for cabin and cockpit.
All safety requirements on board: vhf radio, current flares, noise maker, fire extinguisher.
New battery bought last September.
All rigging, lines, fenders, included; plus extra lines, hardware, throwable seat cushions, covers for sail, tiller,
winches, and motor.
All lights working
Danforth anchor with bracket on bow pulpit, boom awning for rain or shade when anchored.
Bad news: no motor. It has a Johnson 6, which died on me last September. Had a mechanic on board who tried everything and says it needs powerpack. Youre welcome to have it.
The forward hatch needs replacing as well. It is water tight, but cracked and clips broke that lock it down. Included is Oday 222 specific replacement from D and R Marine : http://www.drmarine.com/proddetail.asp?prod=DR75-12
Hate to see her go, but family grown and not getting use she deserves.
Boat is currently located in Harvey Cedars, NJ. I live in Princeton, NJ
