General condition and any additional information

We put a lot into this boat but a friend decided to sell his larger boat for a price we couldnt pass up. We will miss the queen sized bed under the cockpit. Its bigger than what we have in our Pearson we acquired.

Last year I rented a heated storage unit over the winter and did many of the add-ons.

Standard features

1990 26S Macgregor Sailboat with many extras. Furling jib sail and main sail are in excellent shape. Raiseable hatch with dodger cover, 3 batteries, third battery is charged by 9.9 Johnson motor with electric start (Note starter contacts need cleaned which I was going to do over the winter so Ive been pull starting it. Motor runs extremely well.), Anchor/line,The exterior navigation lights are not all hooked up but the fixtures have all LED bulbs. Has a queen sized bed under the cockpit and additional beds in the V-Birth and one of the bench seats.

Trailer is original with virtually no rust., tires with much tread, wiring done last winter for lights. It also has a ladder front for climbing onto the bow.

She does have some ballast leakage especially when sailing her. With this type of boat you open a valve to fill the ballast tank then close it when full. If you go out for a typical day of sailing there will be a small bucket of water under the floor interior. You need to refill the ballast each day you sail to make sure its full. There is no water coming in from the lake. With this type of sail boat, there is no heavy keel so you need the water ballast tank for weight in the bottom of the boat. This allows the boat to be trailered. She also has a swing keel for going into shallow waters. We sailed her at Atwood Lake in Ohio but can easily handle Lake Erie. Also, I do get some rain water when theres a heavy rain which like the ballast water stays below the living area.

Extra gear included

Dock bumpers for both sides and dock lines. Includes life jackets.

Improvements to the hull, deck, rigging, engine, or interior

Has AC interior wall heater, Cambria quartz countertop with sink and faucet, Corian interior table top, Sony stereo system with 4 Sony interior speakers and a set of Polk speakers that retracts for inside or outside use. New cushions added inside and out, new sail cover, solar charging system for two batteries, front hatch solar powered vent, added interior lighting, and better quality bimini installed this year.

The interior has GFI 4 outlets with another one in the lazerette. I installed the back rail and a new lifeline over last winter. Includes an amplifier and sub-woofer which I didnt finish installing yet.

New hydraulic brakes installed recently, new winch installed last winter.
