On my 1985 Oday 28, the current charger resides, mounted on the forward wall of the port lazarette, next to the water heater. It is an 18 year old Guest Model 2611,,,10 amp 2 -output, which I dont believe is designed for my newer Group 29 batteries.
It will be replaced- Pro Mariner Pro Sport 12- amp -2 bank Smart Charger
DONE, a GREAT spot to mount it,,, starboard side of the engine compartment, forward of the battery access panel, less than a foot to Battery #1,,,
I figure, any opportunity to replace an 18 year piece of electronics,, that was poorly located, for not a ton of money, Im in!!!
