When I purchased the boat the chainplate for the port shroud leaked causing water to puddle on the back corner of the countertop. The top was completly rotted and had to be removed. I replaced it with starboard lumber using the old top as a cutout guide.

Sink One

I routed the starboard lumber and installed a new sink and faucet. I installed a spring hatch support to keep the opeaning section of the countertop up. I also rebedded the chainplates with epoxy to prevent further leaks and damage. You can also see our new curtains.

Sink Two

A new electrical panel and radio were installed as well as controls for an automatic bilge punp.

The origional T bracket was very loose when I purchased the boat. An attempt to put another set of holes in it to bolster it didnt seem to work well. (Notice the extra set of filled in holes.) I removed the old T plate and installed a new straight chainplate.

Backstay Chainplate One

I know the size of the chainplate is a bit overkill but what the heck, I will never have to worry about it pulling out. I trimmed the rubrail to fit over it.

Backstay Chainplate Two

Fourtunatly I pulled the engine mount off before I put the 9.9 Hp outboard on it, it would of ripped it right off. The previous owners had installed a new engine mount without properly sealing the holes left by the old one. There is a good sized board galssed in running down the center of the transom for the rudder and the starboard half of the transom has plywood galssed in. This plywood on Elysium was completly mush. I had to crawl down in the starboard locker and cut out the inside portion of the fiberglass with a cutoff blade attached to my drill. (Inches from my face I might add.) Not a fun job! After cutting it out as best I could I scrapped the mush out and let it dry.

I cut a new piece of plywood to fit into the opeaning and epoxied it into place. I pulled it in tight using washers and screws through the existing holes in the transom.

I then proceeded to glass in the new board.

Engine Mount Three

This is Elysium after we were finally able to get her into the water.
