Where to start? More cleats on mast. Internal halyards (4). New anchors and rodes. More cleats at cockpit. U-bolts on deck. Extra spinaker gear. Replaced the through-hulls with bronze seacocks.
Structural or complex improvements
Internal mast wiring. Internal halyards. New electrical wiring. New battery box and fuel tank storage.
The boat's best features
It's an easily sailed, responsive little boat that can be handled by a beginner. It's fast for it's size.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.
One portlight leaks.I don't like the stock through hulls. One was plastic, the other was bronze, but none had a sea cock.
Sailing characterisitcs
A quick and agile sailing vessel. Very steady and easy to sail. The biggest fault, and it's not a vessel problem, but an owner problem, is overpowering the boat. Buy a new sail, or have your existing sail flattened! Keep your heel down to 20 degrees or less with as much canvas up as possible and you will fly by 30 footers! I know, I've done it.
Motoring characterisitcs
The vessel motors well except in a following sea. I don't find this to be an odd problem. Motoring in a following sea is difficult for any vessel.
Liveability
Not good. But the vessel was not designed for "liveability". It's a weekend vessel.

Other comments

I'm very pleased. My vessel is 25 years old and does not know it. A couple of scratches and dings, but otherwise a great boat. I would highly advise the boat (or same) to any prospective buyer.
