Review of the Oday 23 by Ray Fish

The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water

Normal wind strength 10-15 knots

Liveaboard? No  
Owner bought the boat in 1999  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Nice"Lil-boat"fer an Ole Fart,like me!Figured Id have to downsize one day>>Picked the Right Boat!!  
Gear that's been added Customized interior to my likin--teak everwhere,cabinets-panels&drawers under bunks-widened shelves to enclose w/sliding doors etc.There aint another-one,like it!Building-Bimini and Dodger,she will be 'ALL-DOLLED-UP'!  
Structural or complex improvements Gotta repair stbd stanchion mount,settin her-up fer single-handin--maybe cabin-top traveler fer mainsheet-all lines led aft,all that good-stuff.  
The boat's best features easy to handle-very well behaved"Lil boat"very comfy lay-out,well thought out arrangment.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Gudgeons&pintles had to be Beefed-Up.Few other odds-n-ends,towing eye bolt(U-bolt)at bow had to be done-over,wood backin-block rotted,no big deal!When things break,ya-gotta-fix-em,or pay thru-the-nose!Been around boats all my life(got one foot on a banana-peel,the other in my watery grave)>>!!OOPS!almost slipped>>Hah!

Liveability GREAT--an "OLE FART like me dont need much,jus a crapper-a good fartsack-and a can of sardines!
