Owner bought the boat in 2002  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Hard to say. Will I continue to keep this boat moored on the Hudson River? probably not. It's a cute little boat that doesn't sail too badly, but with the variable winds, and screaming currents I would prefer something with more displacement and better sailing characteristics. I am considering keeping this boat and keeping her on Long Island Sound next season.  
Gear that's been added new 6hp suzuki ob. otherwise it appears that nearly everything is original.  
Structural or complex improvements No, but will replace all the inside plywood this winter.  
The boat's best features Easy to sail. Great boat to learn on. The boat seems to have hels up very well in spite of 30 years of who knows what kind of treatment.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.  
Sailing characterisitcs Once I raked the mast I gained almost 10 degrees to windward, but she still needs help. The boat is very tender but it allows you to drive with the sheets and crew and easily get the boat well balanced. The difficulty is keeping the crew still. I would also like a bit more inertia. in variable winds it's hard to keep boatspeed through course changes.  
Motoring characterisitcs She motors well. the 6hp is plenty even in the Hudson currents.  
Liveability Haven't slept on her yet. Haven't found a hospitable locale. But it doesn't seem like it would be a problem for a couple to take a long weekend.
