If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely. We bought this boat when my children were 13 (daughter) and 11 (son). It has plenty of room for all of us and even some of the kids friends although once you have more than 4 on board you don't want to have to do things quickly. It has been a great bonding experience for my son - easy to maintain and sail together. Enough work to keep us interested but not too much to keep us from sailing.  
Gear that's been added Bow pulpit, lifelines, boom vang, CDI jib furler, considering running lights with a solar charger for the battery.  
Structural or complex improvements None have been needed  
The boat's best features Simplicity and size. When we want to sail, we are off the dock within minutes and upon return need only a few minutes to close up. It has a roomy cockpit and a cabin which provides enough shelter to get out of wind or rain or take a comfortable nap. Low maintenance needs: Mostly due to all fiberglass construction and only a little teak to make it look nice without much work to maintain. My son and I can wax the hull in less than an hour. Stepping the mast and trailering are also very easy.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. NOTHING!  
Sailing characterisitcs The boat has a responsive helm and is well designed to sail in winds as light as 5-10 knots or as heavy as 20-25 knots (haven't been in much bigger blows). We frequently approach hull speed. When the boat gets overpowered, the weather helm can become excessive but is easily managed by reefing the main and jib. One limitation is the lack of a mainsheet traveler. The mainsheet is attached to the backstay which leaves the cockpit completely unobstructed but makes adding a traveler impossible. The only thing I miss.  
Motoring characterisitcs We bought the boat with a 9hp Evinrude which is moe than adequate to move the boat. Sharp turns under motor usually require moving the tiller and the motor together. The propeller can strike the rudder if the rudder is in the up position while motoring.  
Liveability Excellent as a daysailor. Overnighting would require a very motivated captain and crew. we have not used it for overnighting.

Other comments I highly recommend this boat as a daysailor. It is an easy boat to own, does not consume alot of money and is extremely versatile. i have sailed with 8-10 people (although I select moderate conditions) without a problem although 2-4 is most comfortable. We enjoy this boat with both children and adults. We have looked at other boats but until I have the time to spend extended time on the boat I cannot come up with a good reason to change.
