If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again?	Yes, it's a great little boat!
Gear that's been added	I basically got her off the junk heap (half-buried in the back yard of a neighbor) so she needed a bunch of replacement parts. Nothing new added yet, but I'm thinking about a boom vang.
Structural or complex improvements	Yes, there was huge crack in the shelf where the mast is stepped. I bolted in reinforcement pieces of thick plastic and then used marine compound to smooth it over. It's very strong. I also needed to replace the pulleys on the stern.
The boat's best features	She's a good looking little boat that has all the features of a bigger boat. I had never sailed anything before taking my Widgeon out and she was as stable and responsive as all the reviews I read. What fun. She will go fast - but I've never been scared. I usually sail with one of my sons - so stability was important - and she is very stable.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.	Nothing so far.
Sailing characterisitcs	I'm really new to sailing so my perspectives may be off. However, I don't think she points too well - though I'm still learning how to sail close-hauled.On a reach, in a decent wind, she will go as fast as I can handle - really fun!I had her original sails reconditioned by Sail Care and they seem really good, but I'm sure new sails would be better - perhaps that would help.
Motoring characterisitcs	No motor yet.
Liveability	Been out with my two boys for a couple of hours and it was fine.
