If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? i would buy this boat agin for sure.ilove it.i learned to sail months before on a mercury and bought my 22 the following fall.she took care of me.my third sail i hit 25mph winds on the bay and it was a sweet ride.exciting but in control.i must say my confidence grew quick with this boat.  
Gear that's been added i just ordered a 135%genoa for it with hanks. i figured i dont really need the furling for a boat this size and im just not worthy of the luxury yet i guess.it will be intersting figuring when to use it and how.  
Structural or complex improvements nothing exotic just safety.brand new standing rigging.lower gurgeon recaulked and motor mount pad replaced to accomodate the 9.9 johnson which i like as a guy who never got into engines.  
The boat's best features stable boat for sure on the go.lovely on a reach.this boat made me fall in love with sailing.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. not great on light winds but im working on that, could be part boat part sailer.and ventilation could be tough in the cabin sometimes but you can easily help that situation with fans, heaters,etc.  
Sailing characterisitcs like the other reviews beautiful on all points and downwind being its weakest but not dissappointing.  
Motoring characterisitcs with 9.9 johnson being the the max suggested kicker this boat motors great.nice when i take ppl out for a quickie.  
Liveability my tent in the sea.nice with 2-3 ppl for a day or two.but other than that i really havent pushed the liveability thing.

Other comments hope to upgrade to a 30 foot cruiser.want it to be an oday.a single handler with a little speed is the dream.but first i have to log same more time on this oday 22 that will be very tough to part with some day.
