The boat's best features the look, and it handles very well.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The major fault of this design that makes this boat a big negative for family daysailing is that if the boat is capsized, the chances of righting it are slim. The mast sinks to the bottom so fast and if its over 16' deep it goes turtle up. Theres no chance of righting it without assistance from a power boat. Its not a great situation to be in with young kids. This happened recently when my tiller broke during a controlled jibe and over it went. 3.5 hours later and the assistance of two other boats we were able to right it. The only reason we were able to turn it was it had broken its mast.
