If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely. It is a great boat to play with. Easy to step mast, rig and sail. All the fun of sailing with none of the hassle. Inexpensive too.
Gear that's been added No. No need.
Structural or complex improvements No.
The boat's best features Easy to rig. Very low maintenance. Comfortable for 3 people, putting one up in the bow.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. A new problem, I had salt build-up on the connecting bolt of the centerboard which actually broke through the fiberglass. Now it leaks. Needs repair. I'm not sure what is involved in fixing it properly.
Sailing characterisitcs Boat is very stable and responsive.
Motoring characterisitcs none.
Liveability Have spent over 5 hours on the small boat... quite comfortably.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) [builder]
